This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information when you browse our website, purchase from us, subscribe to updates, contact us or apply for a role.

Personal information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact information: your name, email address, telephone number, and billing and delivery addresses.
  • Order information: products and sizes selected, purchases, payment confirmations, delivery details, and return or exchange requests.
  • Communications: information you provide in enquiries, feedback or other correspondence.

  • Recruitment information: your résumé, work history, portfolio and other information you provide when applying for a role.

Payment information is processed through Shopify Payments and the relevant payment providers. We receive transaction information needed to manage your purchase, such as payment status, transaction references and limited payment-method details.

You can browse without providing your name. However, we need certain information to process an order, arrange delivery or respond to an enquiry.

How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you shop, subscribe, contact us or submit an application.

We also collect information automatically through cookies and similar technologies, and receive relevant information from Shopify, payment providers, delivery providers and other services supporting our business.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Process payments and fulfil orders.
  • Arrange delivery and manage returns, exchanges and customer enquiries.
  • Communicate with you about purchases and our services.
  • Operate, secure and improve our website.
  • Detect and prevent fraud or misuse.
  • Send marketing emails where you have agreed to receive them.
  • Understand website performance and support advertising as described below.
  • Assess job applications.
  • Maintain records, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.

Shopify and our online store

Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify collects and processes personal information about your use of our store to operate and improve its services, including checkout, payment processing, security and fraud prevention.

Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled for our store. This supports enhanced services that use information from your interactions with Cerella Pierre together with information from your interactions with other merchants and Shopify. These services can support improvements, personalisation and advertising.

Information is shared with Shopify and relevant third parties, which may be located outside Australia, to provide these services. Shopify is responsible for its processing of personal information for these enhanced services, including handling applicable privacy-rights requests relating to that processing.

For more information, read Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy. You can also visit Shopify’s Privacy Portal to learn about available privacy choices and submit requests.

If you use Shop, Shop Pay or other Shopify consumer services, Shopify’s privacy policy also applies to its handling of information for those services.

Email marketing

If you subscribe, we may send collection updates, product news and promotional offers.

We intend to use Shopify’s email marketing service to manage subscriptions and send these communications. Depending on the settings enabled, it may record delivery, email opens and link clicks to help us measure performance.

You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or by contacting cerellapierre@gmail.com. We will action unsubscribe requests within five working days.

Unsubscribing does not prevent necessary communications about your orders, delivery, payments or customer-service enquiries.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our store uses cookies and similar technologies to support shopping-bag functionality, checkout, security, preferences and service performance.

We also plan to connect Google Analytics and Meta advertising tools. These planned integrations are separate from the Shopify services already described above.

Google Analytics

When enabled, Google Analytics will help us understand how visitors find and use our website. Depending on its configuration, it may process information about devices, browsers, approximate location, pages viewed and website interactions.

Meta advertising and retargeting

When enabled, Meta tools will help us measure advertising performance and display relevant advertisements on Facebook and Instagram, including to people who previously visited our website.

Depending on the integration and settings enabled, information shared may include product views, shopping-bag activity, purchases, device identifiers and customer information used to match activity with Meta accounts. This may involve the Meta Pixel and server-to-server sharing through the Conversions API.

We will update this policy to reflect these integrations when activated.

Further details are available in Google’s Privacy Policy and Meta’s Privacy Policy.

Your privacy choices

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect website functionality.

Where cookie preference or data-sharing controls are displayed on our store, you can use them to manage the choices offered. Their availability may depend on your location. Where required by applicable law, we seek consent for relevant tracking technologies.

You can also manage advertising preferences through your Google and Meta accounts and access Shopify’s privacy choices through its Privacy Portal.

Unsubscribing from emails does not automatically change advertising or cookie preferences. Browser cookie controls may not prevent every form of server-to-server data sharing.

Contact us if you need help understanding your choices.

Who we disclose information to

We disclose relevant information to providers supporting our business, including:

  • Shopify and payment providers.
  • Delivery and logistics providers.
  • Email, communications and technology providers.

Overseas handling

Our providers operate internationally, so information may be stored, accessed or processed outside Australia.

Relevant locations for Shopify services may include Canada, the United States and Singapore. Google and Meta also operate internationally, including in the United States. Other locations depend on the services and providers involved.

Privacy laws overseas may differ from Australian laws. We take steps required by applicable law in relation to overseas disclosures.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against misuse, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No online service can guarantee complete security.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including customer support, legal and accounting obligations, fraud prevention and dispute resolution.

Job applications

We use application information to assess suitability for a role and communicate with applicants.

With your agreement, we may retain your application for up to six months from submission to consider you for future opportunities. You can withdraw that agreement by emailing us.

Declining retention for future opportunities will not affect consideration for a current role.

Otherwise, we retain application information only as reasonably needed to complete recruitment and meet applicable legal requirements, then take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Access, corrections and complaints

To request access to your information, ask for a correction or raise a privacy concern, email cerellapierre@gmail.com.

We may need to verify your identity. We will assess your request under applicable law and explain any limitations. Requests for deletion may be subject to legal or other applicable retention requirements.

We aim to respond to privacy complaints within 30 days. If more time is needed, we will explain why and provide an update.

Where the Australian Privacy Act applies, you may be able to refer an unresolved complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. Contact us to make a request.
